Northern Buttercup

A highly variable, northern species with deeply divided leaves at the base of the stem (10-40 cm). In damp, mossy marsh and scrub, southwards to Søndre Strømfjord and Scoresby Sund. The related Meadow Crowfoot can colour the fields yellow at the South Greenland sheep farms, but it also grows in natural plant communities like herb-slopes and willow scrubs from Kap Farvel almost to Godthåb.
